Bahareh received her doctorate degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of British Columbia (School of Physiotherapy) and her Baccalaureate and Master’s degrees in Physiotherapy. She specializes in the treatment of chronic pain, muscular and orthopaedic injuries.
Bahareh practices Chan Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (CGIMS), a technique for treating pain in the absence of tissue damage or inflammation. IMS is useful for headaches, whiplash, backache, tennis elbow and frozen shoulder.Bahareh is certified in Anatomical Acupuncture for musculoskeletal pain with Acupuncture Foundation Canada. She has been also practicing Schroth therapy for Scoliosis for over 10 years. The Schroth Method is a non-surgical treatment technique for scoliosis at all ages, regardless of the severity of scoliosis. It uses exercises customized for each patient to return the curved spine to a more natural position through de-rotating, elongating and stabilizing the spine in a three-dimensional plane.
Bahareh is certified R2P Concussion Management therapist, and helps patients with whiplash, chronic headaches, and post-concussion symptoms. Bahareh is certified and specialized in Vestibular Rehabilitation and she treats conditions such as vertigo, dizziness, balance deficits, vestibular migraine, and other vestibular conditions; she is a member of Vestibular Association (VEDA) (https://vestibular.org). Currently, she is completing the neuroscience and vestibular rehabilitation program with Carrick Institute in Florida.
Bahareh has pursued her interest in Women’s Health and Pelvic Health physiotherapy: this includes rehabilitation to address incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain and for osteoporosis. For women who are pregnant, and new Mothers, she is trained in the management of Diastasis of Rectus Abdominis (DRA) and treats chronic pelvic girdle pain.

Bahareh has spent years gaining experience, mastering variety of treatment techniques and refining her methods in different areas in the scope of physiotherapy practice. In Many cases she uses a selected combination of techniques is used to achieve best results and optimal recovery. An accurate examination, diagnosis, and individuals designed treatment plans are offered for the clients’ needs and goals. Bahareh believes in one-on-one ‘hands-on’ therapy followed by prescription of progressive individualized exercise programs to ensure the optimal long-term recovery is achieved.
