Claim & Update Your Listing
If you’re a practitioner listed in the SportMedBC directory, this page walks you through finding your listing, claiming it if needed, and updating your information.
Two profiles, one search
When you search for your name, you may find two separate profiles:
- Participant profile — think of this like a personal Facebook profile.
- Practitioner profile — your professional listing in the directory.
If you’re logged in, you’ll usually land on your Participant profile first. That’s expected — just make sure you click through to your Practitioner profile for the steps below.
Step 1: Find your listing
- On desktop, go to the search bar at the top of the site.
- Enter your name.
- From the results, select your Practitioner profile.
- Review the profile to confirm your information is correct.
Step 2: Check if you need to claim your listing
During our previous website update, we moved from one platform to another and some listings became detached from their owner’s account.
Not everyone needs to claim their listing — but if yours was affected, you’ll need to reclaim it and link it back to your account before you can make edits.
Here’s how to check: look at the bottom right-hand side of your profile, underneath your contact info and disclaimer.
If you see a “Claim this listing” option → follow Step 2a below.
If you don’t see it → your listing is already claimed. Skip to Step 3 to log in.
Step 2a: Claim your listing
Click the claim option and fill out the requested information.
Submit for approval. SportMedBC reviews claims within 24–48 hours.
Once approved, you’ll be able to log in and edit your listing (add photos, update details, etc.).

Step 3: Log in and update your listing
Already claimed, or just got approved? Here’s how to make changes.
Note: If this is your first time logging in, you may need to reset your password first.
- Log in to your account. You’ll land on your Profile Page.
- In the left sidebar, click Listings.
- Click on the listing you want to edit.
- In the right sidebar of the listing, click Edit.
- Make your changes and click Save.
Your listing is now updated.
A couple of things to keep in mind
Clinic listings must be linked to at least one verified practitioner to remain on the site.- You can now assign one or multiple categories to your clinic listing.
