Therapist – Women’s NextGen National Team
Full-time contract position (14 weeks)
Position: Full-time contracted therapist (Certified Athletic Therapist or Registered
Physiotherapist) to work with our 2024 Women’s NextGen team at Volleyball Canada.
Length of Contract : 14 week contract between April 26-August 16th 2024.
Where: Richmond Olympic Oval, Richmond, BC

  • Required to travel internationally as part of this role as well.
    Roles and Responsibilities:
    Basic responsibilities to include (but not limited to):
  • Provide care for athletes during on-court sessions (training and games).
  • Deliver quality pre/post-training taping, mobility, assessment and treatment.
  • Manage and collect the day-day well-being data and monitoring of athletes.
  • Coordinate and deliver athlete musculoskeletal and medical screenings.
  • Work within NextGen coaches and integrated support team (IST) alongside sports
    medicine physicians, physiotherapists, strength & conditioning coaches, dietitians and
    mental health practitioners..
  • Coordinate accessory medical care for athletes with IST practitioners and coaches.
  • Organize medical and therapy logistics for international tours.
  • Maintain medical/therapy supplies and inventory in conjunction with senior therapist
    Requirements:
    Candidates must have the following:
  • Registration with ATABC/CPTBC with valid professional liability insurance.
  • CPR/First-Aid & Sport First Responder (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a high-performance sport environment within an IST
  • Ability to travel and work irregular hours, weekends and be on-call for emergencies for
    time sensitive and priority issues.

Volleyball Canada reserves the right to request a Police record check prior to offering a contract.
Compensation: $8,000 – $10,000 for the term based on candidates experience and
qualifications.
