Jodi began her career as a sport physiologist in 2003 at the Scottish Institute of Sport. She returned to Canada in 2006 to work at the Canadian Sport Institute in Calgary and has been a service provider to Nordic sports for the past 8 years. She has attended multiple World Cup, World Championship and Olympic competitions as part of Integrated Support Teams for Scottish Rugby, Biathlon Canada and Cross Country Canada.
In her role as a physiologist, Jodi advises coaches and self-coached athletes on how to apply the latest research to their training plans. She also assesses athlete fitness and recovery status, using that information to help optimize the daily training environment for each athlete.
Since 2010, Jodi has also consulted with several different sport organizations as an athlete development advisor and coach educator, helping coaches integrate Long Term Athlete Development principles into their programming. Most recently, she has worked with Cross Country Canada and the National Coaching Institute – Calgary as a content expert for some of their coach education workshops.
In her spare time, Jodi is a volunteer youth coach for basketball and cycling.
