Vancouver Sun Run InTraining Clinics Start January 21

Vancouver, B.C. (January 19, 2017) – The holidays are behind us so it’s time to get into shape and start running again. Join one of The Vancouver Sun Run’s InTraining Clinics presented by Sun Run Stores beginning January 21 and get the ball rolling.

InTraining Clinics have been around for over 21 years helping over 60,000 people achieve their running goals and represent a great way to help people get ready for the Vancouver Sun Run happening Sunday, April 23, 2017. The 13-week guided clinics at over 50 centres in the Lower Mainland and beyond are open to runners of all skill levels aged 13 and up. Clinic registration deadline is February 10. Programs are available for walkers (Walk10K), novice (LearnToRun10K), more experienced runners (Run10KStronger) and Nordic Walking (NordicWalk10K). The programs are created by SportMedBC and supported proudly by Sun Run Stores.

“This is a terrific way for people to get themselves motivated in a safe and fun way,” said Lynn Kanuka, SportMedBC RunWalk Coach & Olympian. “SportMedBC’s passion and goal is to ensure that participants safely and comfortably complete the program and be part of the incredible journey that is The Vancouver Sun Run.”

The SportMedBC training programs include weekly guided sessions with trained leaders who provide expert advice, coaching tips and motivational support as well as online technical support and information. The clinic fee ($144.00 plus tax) offers great value for participants:   The fee includes your Vancouver Sun Run registration plus an Alanic Light Weight Polyhex Elite Series Tech Shirt. Also included in the package is a PowerBar performance training package, a Vancouver Sun Run InTraining Log Book, and exclusive discount coupons redeemable at Sun Run Stores.
