Tilman von der Linde on Setting and Achieving Goals

So here’s the deal.

I was asked to become a member of the Ask the Experts Panel at the 11th hour back in January after completing the production of 10 video segments for the 2009 Sun Run. After accepting, I set a reasonable and achievable goal of writing 25 quality posts for the Sun Run – Ask the Experts Blog by April 19 as it is the 25th anniversary of the event.

I started writing after returning from Europe in February and reached the 25 post mark at the beginning of April. However instead of stopping there, I reset my goal to write 40 blog posts and crushed that mark yesterday.

How you do anything is how you do everything. – T. Harv Eker

I liken this effort to what many will be doing in the Sun Run.

1. Accepting the challenge

2. Showing up

3. Starting out easy

4. Finding your rhythm

5. Hitting your stride

6. Finishing strong

7. Running through the finish line – instead of to the finish line

8. And doing a little fist pump at the end
