SportMedBC Hits the Zoomer Show

This November 27-28, the Vancouver Convention Centre will host the Zoomer Show

What’s a “zoomer,” you ask? It’s the term put forth by veteran media mogul and head of Zoomer Media, Moses Znaimer.

The focus is on the 14.5 million Canadians who are 45 years and older.

“A baby boomer with zip… They are the single most influential consumer group in the history of the world. They have more money and time than any other demographic by far. Zoomers are over 14 million strong: nearly 1 in every 3 Canadians has celebrated a 50th birthday. They don’t follow the crowd. They are the crowd. They’ve led, then transformed, then dominated every market they’ve entered. And they change loyalties with ruthless efficiency.”

For three years, Zoomer Media has hosted a trade show in Toronto. This year they’re bringing their lifestyle expo out west.

While a variety of activities will be taking place, SportMedBC RunWalk Coach and Bronze Medal winning Olympian Lynn Kanuka will be holding down the fort for SportMedBC.

“Being able to spread the word about our SportMed RunWalk clinics and our Sun Run Nordic Walk 10K, along with our Nordic Walking demonstration is a terrific opportunity.

A significant number of “zoomers” attend our programs as it’s a wonderful way for them to return to activity, build their confidence and focus on health and fitness.”

Also this weekend, kinesiologist and posture specialist Rob Williams will offer posture assessments.

Show exhibits will be divided into areas including health, lifestyle, money and travel.

The show opens on Saturday, November 27th at 9am. Tickets are $12 plus HST or two for $20 plus HST. More information at the Zoomer Show website.
