Run 5K Program for New Canadian Youth

Join Olympian Natasha Wodak in celebrating the hard work of our Run 5K For New Canadian Youth in their final run.

Surrey, BC –

Come cheer on the New Canadian Youth program as they complete their final run of the program this Monday August 30th at Green Timbers Park in Surrey BC. In attendance, we will have our very own RunWalk Coach Canadian Olympian Natasha Wodak who just returned home after completing the Women’s’ Marathon in the 2020 Toyko Olympics.

This 10-week run program was offered to Youth ages 13-18 years of age to train for the 5k distance. Participants had the option to choose between two program levels, “My First 5K” & “My Next 5K”. This initiative is specifically offered to a population considered “New Canadian Youth”, who have arrived in Canada within the last 5 years.

Participants of the program will begin their run after a warmup with Olympian Natasha Wodak and their Clinic Coordinator Samir Dhanani, followed by a 5KM run through the beautiful Green Timbers Park. Participants will receive prizes and a Certificate of Completion at the end of the event.

Date: Monday, August 30th

Location: Green Timbers Access Rd, Surrey, BC V3V 7Z2

Program Time: 5-6:30pm (5pm warm up)
