BC Athletics is proud to be piloting a Road Running Instructor NCCP Course (2nd ever in Canada!) in partnership with SportMedBC and VIRS.
An introduction to Road Running Instruction: Ideal for the walk/run clinic leader, community volunteer, personal trainer, or school educator/coach. This weekend workshop will provide you with the material, knowledge and confidence to help you with your Road Running Clinics and start you on your way to becoming a Certified Athletics Instructor with the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).
Friday June 6th – Sunday June 8th, 2014
University of Victoria – McKinnon Building, Room 150
- Full Weekend Course (5pm Friday until 2:30pm Sunday)
- Optional CPR Course (2:30pm – 6:30pm on Sunday)
CPR “A” Course
This 3.5 to 4 hour course includes prevention, recognition and treatment of heart attack, angina, and stroke. Candidates will also learn emergency scene management, recognition and treatment for conscious & unconscious choking emergencies, CPR level “C” for adults, children as well as the use of an Automated External Defibrillator.
This is a hands-on course therefore there is no written exam. Canadian Red Cross certification is valid for 3 years.
- Price for this course for a minimum of 6 people will be $70.00/person.
- If you have 8 or more people the price will be $65.00/person.
- If you have 12 or more the price would be $55.00/person.
Price includes manual and certification from Red Cross. Certification is valid for 3 years. As this course is for employment purposes there is no tax.
*Participants will be invoiced after course completion based on number of course participants.
