Snack: Not recommended. this is a lower calorie (100cals) product, which lacks the fibre and other nutrients that may be found in better real food snack options.
Pre-exercise: The jelly beans have adequate carbohydrate and neither fat nor fibre making them an acceptable pre-exercise food alternative one hour before exercise.
During exercise: Recommended for endurance exercise lasting longer than 90 mins. Each package contains 25g carbohydrates, so athletes may need to consume 1.5 to 2 packages to meet the carbohydrate recommendations of 30-60g/hour. Consume with fluids.
After-exercise: Contains 25g of carbohydrates which can help restore muscle glycogen. Best if consumed with other high carbohydrate foods, protein for muscle repair, and fluids. Likely not enough sodium to replenish all lost in cases of high sweat rates.

From the makers of Jelly Belly, sport beans are a sport carbohydrate product in the form of large jelly beans (as opposed to the more commonly used gel).
They have the same carbohydrate content as regular jelly beans, but with the addition of electrolytes and Vitamins B and C.
Best utilized in endurance sports lasting longer than 60 minutes where carbohydrate replenishment is needed such as distance running, triathlon, cycling etc.
