Susan is passionate about helping others stay healthy and has a private practice “Nutrition Solutions” located in North Vancouver. As an athlete, wife and mother of two athletic children, she understands the benefits of eating healthily and fueling for peak performance. She counsels individuals and groups, offers “Craving Change™” sessions (a cognitive-behavioral approach to helping people with problematic eating), develops menus, provides nutritional analysis, develops “Nutrition Facts” food labels and consults with facilities, schools, recreation centers, corporations and government.
Susan has a BASc in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph, a Masters degree in Education from Simon Fraser University and is a registered dietitian. She has taught introductory nutrition, sports nutrition and food safety courses at Simon Fraser University and has held leadership roles with many organizations including HealthLink BC, NutritionLink, the North Shore Keep Well Society, the BC Dietitians and Nutritionists Association and the Dietitians of Canada.
Whether counselling individuals or groups or presenting to a broad audience, Susan balances theoretical and practical information and presents it in a way that is not only easy to understand, but practical to implement. Susan has expertise in working in the area of Mental Health and Addictions and has worked with BC Mental Health and Addiction Services for many years.
