Dr. Stephanie Brooks completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario (with a BA in psychology) in 1989 and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 1993. She moved to BC from Ontario for the abundance of outdoor activities and has never regretted it.

After graduation she practised in Delta where she was president of the Fraser Valley Optometric Association and participated in the Patterns of Practice/Quality Assurance committees. Since 1997 she has been practising on the west side of Vancouver and is part of the advisory committee of FYi Doctors. She has written articles for vancouverwomen.com as well as the Health Journal and currently sits on the development committee for the Canadian Examiners in Optometry. She is delighted to be able to provide excellence in eye care in such a state of the art clinic, and proud to be part of the Dunbar community and on the board of directors of the Dunbar Village Business Association.
