Profile
Shafeen Hirji was born and raised in Burnaby, British Columbia. He grew up playing numerous community sports which included volleyball, baseball and basketball. He still attempts to keep up with the younger generation playing basketball and is an avid weight lifter. On the weekends, you can usually find him going on random ‘adventure’ walks with his son.
Since graduating from the University of British Columbia, in 2005, Shafeen has primarily worked in Port Coquitlam treating all types of clients throughout the Lower Mainland. During this time he has learned numerous treatment techniques and strongly believes in the importance of continuing education. He has developed a special interest in sport related injuries, orthopaedics including knee/ankle/shoulder conditions and pre/post surgical care.
Shafeen uses education, manual therapy, exercises, IMS and Acupuncture to achieve goal-oriented results. He strongly believes in collaborating with other health care professionals for more holistic approach, while educating clients to take an active role in their own rehabilitation program. After going through a significant knee injury himself, followed by surgery and rehab, he understands all aspects of an injury beyond a textbook.
