Scott is a 1994 graduate of the University of Windsor. He has previously worked in Michigan and Ontario at a human performance institute that provided training and rehabilitation for professional, Olympic and collegiate athletes including the Detroit Pistons (NBA), Detroit Vipers (IHL) and Detroit Neon (CISL). Since relocating to the Okanagan in 1999, Scott has owned a fitness centre in Vernon and has worked with numerous local athletes including Vernon Minor Hockey and the Silver Star Freestyle Club. He is one of four fitness professionals in the country with metabolic testing equipment capable of determining resting metabolic rate (RMR) and aerobic capacity (VO2). He has certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) and Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CEP). Scott also specializes in rehabilitation of sport and MVA injuries and now works out of a multi-disciplinary clinic called The Whitehouse Wellness Centre in Vernon.
