Robert (Bob) completed his Physiotherapy training in Sydney, Australia in 1987 (Cumberland College of Health Sciences). Bob traveled widely and settled in Vancouver in 1990. Here, he fortuitously met Judy and Bev, who were co-owners of West 10th Physiotherapy at the time. In 1996, Bob joined them in partnership to form Jericho Sports and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Clinic. In 1997, Bob discovered Racquetball and it has now become his passion. He has since won a National singles (2000) and 2 National doubles titles (2000, 2001).
Bob’s sports-physiotherapy skills and athletic experience has helped him attain the position of Canadian National Racquetball Team Physiotherapist. He has attended international tournaments in Cochabamba (Bolivia 2002), San Juan (World Championships, Puerto Rico, 2002), Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic 2003), Cuenca (Ecuador 2004), Anyang (World Championships, South Korea 2004), Caracas (Venezuela, 2005), Guatemala City (Guatemala, 2006) and Santo Domingo (World Championships, Dominican Republic, 2006).
Bob has continued to develop his physiotherapy skills with post-graduate studies in Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation. Bob enjoys combining his blend of treatment techniques and has learnt to ‘listen to the whole body’ when assessing the body’s response and adaptation to injury or trauma.
