Patrick completed his bachelor’s degree in Food, Nutrition, Health & Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia. While at UBC Patrick conducted researched and worked with elite athletes at the Cardiovascular Physiology and Rehabilitation laboratory. He is a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the U.S. based National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Patrick has worked with a wide range of athletes from beginner to elite in a variety of sports: endurance/power and team sport athletes. Patrick frequently lectures to athletes and parents in the areas of sports nutrition, and strength & conditioning. Patrick also provides coaching and consulting services to coaches and athletes in the areas of exercise physiology, nutrition & exercise prescription.
Patrick swam competitively for for several years at the National level. In 2009, Patrick transitioned to triathlons, competing in all distances of triathlons from Sprint distance to Ironman New Zealand.
