A graduate of the University of Alberta with a degree in Physical Education, Martha launched her pedorthic career at Paris Orthotics Ltd. in 1991 and earned her C.Ped. (C) designation in 1994.
She is skilled in all areas of pedorthics and has a special touch with people. Early in her career, Martha developed a particular interest in caring for people with diabetes-related foot problems. In 2009 the Canadian Diabetes Association recognized her expertise and contributions with its Champion of Diabetes Award.
Martha is one of four senior pedorthists at Paris Orthotics and regularly represents the profession and the company as an educator at conferences and workshops and in the clinics of health care professionals. She has served on the board of the College of Pedorthics of Canada and as an exam proctor. Her other volunteer work includes being a founding member of the group that hosts an annual holiday season dinner for low income people living with diabetes.
Martha practices at the company’s West 4th Avenue location and at its Port Coquitlam store. Every other month she provides pedorthic services in the community of Powell River on the upper Sunshine Coast.
