Karen is a Registered Dietitian currently practicing in Vancouver, BC. She has competed in triathlon since 2005, is a 5 time Ironman Finisher and the Provincial Long-Course Age Group Triathlon Champion for 2007 – 2009.
Karen completed her undergraduate education at the University of British Columbia, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics with first class standing. She went on to complete her internship with Saskatoon District Health in Saskatchewan in 2000. Karen has been a dietitian for over 10 years, working in a variety of practice areas from public health, outpatients counseling, telehealth and private consulting.
Karen is currently completing the IOC (International Olympic Committee) Diploma in Sports Nutrition. She is also an accredited Level 1 Anthropometrist with ISAK (International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry).
As both a dietitian and an athlete, Karen recognizes the importance of good nutrition in achieving optimal performance. She enjoys working with athletes, helping them meet their nutrition and performance goals
