Joanna (Jo) Irvine is a Registered Dietitian who holds a degree from the University of British Columbia in Food and Nutrition and is a member of the College of Dietitians of BC and Dietitians of Canada. She has worked as a nutrition specialist in sports nutrition, extended care, mental health and as a consultant in private practice.
Jo helps provide and teach the skills athletes need to achieve optimal performance. Jo offers an evidence-based, personalized and practical approach to counseling for sport performance and fitness. Jo’s own involvement in a variety of sports ranging from skiing, volleyball and long distance running has contributed to her interest in sports nutrition. Her passion for sport and fitness, combined with her extensive educational background in nutrition allows her to understand the unique nutritional requirements of an athlete. As both a dietitian and a personal trainer, Jo strives to create balance in her own life while teaching others how to do the same. Jo feels it is important to get excited about your goals, take charge of your life, but above all have fun!
