Being passionate about sports and health all Jessalyn's life attracted her to the field of sports nutrition. Jessalyn graduated from McGill University with a major in Dietetics and minor in Kinesiology, and went on to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Nutrition from the International Olympic Committee. With her work experience at the Canadian Sport Institute, Thrifty Foods, through her own business and at The Health & Performance Center in Guelph (internship), Jessalyn has had experience working with individuals and groups with a variety of ages, backgrounds and beliefs. She has worked with recreational and elite athlete groups alike, in a variety of sports such as running, rugby, swimming, rowing, figure skating, triathlon, boccia (paralympic) and ultra running. With her experience as a competitive runner (competing at world and university level) as well as participation in a variety of sports such as soccer, rugby, rowing, rock climbing and mountaineering, Jessalyn relates well with athletes, offering practical, engaging, evidence-based information to individual and groups of athletes.
