As a Certified Athletic Therapist, my professional focus is to support both high performance and recreation level athletes throughout the continuum of injury to rehabilitation to return to play. As both emergency injury management professionals and clinical therapists the Athletic Therapist is uniquely positioned to understand the demands of movement based injuries and active participants in sport and activity. The best moments for an Athletic Therapist is watching an athlete return from injury and excel at the activity they love, whether it is simply running and playing with family, golf with friends or high level competitive sports. It is the pursuit of this feeling that helps drive me to build and diversify my assessment perspective, treatment methodologies and injury prevention skills with courses, DVDs, seminars and internships. I am continually trying to make my athletes better through systemised assessment and training techniques, to address their individual needs with movement screening and sports specific training and to put them in the best position to return to their sport faster from injury and keep them doing what they love to do.
