Profile
My name is Emily and I am the owner and lead physiotherapist at Ridgeline Physio in Fernie, BC. My background is in high-performance athletics and outdoor adventure sports. I have competed as a member of the Canadian National Cycling Team, the University of Victoria Women’s Field Hockey Team, and represented Ontario in Field Hockey, Mountain Biking, and Alpine Skiing. My current passions take me into the mountains and on the trails as often as possible. From ski touring to whitewater paddling and mountaineering, you’ll find it very difficult to name a sport that I’m not interested in. I can’t wait to swap stories and hear what adventures you’ve been on lately!
With my experience in high-performance sport and outdoor adventure, I can tailor a rehab and injury prevention program to fit your exact needs. I use strength and conditioning as a foundation of treatment. I then adapt each program to fit the athletic ability and goals of each client.
I believe everyone deserves to life a full, active and healthy life. Regardless of age, race, gender, medical history, or physical ability, everyone has the right to engage with life in the way that makes them happy. My goal is to support you in reaching your goals and helping you develop and execute a plan to get you there.
My primary areas of focus are helping individuals with:
– Orthopedic injury rehabilitation
– concussion rehabilitation
– vestibular rehabilitation
– working with older adults including falls prevention programming
– Sport Rehabilitation
– Strength and conditioning programming
– Injury prevention programming
– Team Injury prevention workshops
I look forward to meeting you! See you out in the mountains!
