Carrie’s first experience with physiotherapy came at a young age after suffering a series of sport related knee injuries requiring both surgery and rehabilitation. Her past experiences combined with her extensive academic training help clients and athletes restore function, minimize re-injury and get back to the things they love to do safely and effectively.

Since joining CSPC in 2008, Carrie has worked on-field in running, ultimate, lacrosse and soccer events in Vancouver. She has also worked with SportMedBC performing functional assessments for Elite athletes in triathlon, soccer, figure skating, and wheelchair basketball. Carrie works with a variety of clients who have active lifestyles as well as those with workplace and motor vehicle injuries. She has a special interest in sport related injuries particularly of triathletes and cyclists, as well as post-surgical knee and ankle rehabilitation.

Carrie graduated from McMaster University in 2006 with a Masters degree in Physiotherapy after obtaining a Bachelors degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph. She has post-graduate training with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, obtaining her Certificate of Manual and Manipulative Therapy and is certified in Chan Gunn IMS (CG*IMS) through the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Pain (iSTOP). Carrie’s approach to physiotherapy is multi-modal, using a combination of hands on techniques and skills with specific and focused exercise to help her clients feel and perform better.
