Dr. Souvestre is a Medical Doctor graduated with Special Honors in 1984 from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Aix-Marseilles, France. He specializes in Traumatology, Medical Neurophysiology, Aerospace and Sports Medicine and holds a post-doctorate research degree in Cognitive and Behavioral Neurosciences.

His main medical interest is the measurement and correction of the impact of physical, cognitive and emotional trauma on human performance and subsequent invisible disabilities as they relate to the central neural sensory-motor controls and related cognitive mechanisms, located in the brain.

Qualified in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture from the Faculty of Medicine of Marseilles, Dr. Souvestre is a duly licensed and registered Acupuncturist under the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturists of British Columbia. He is also a registered member in good standing of the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Professionals.

Dr. Souvestre has been blending Western and Chinese medicine since his very early medical practice. He is currently the Vice Chair of the Board of the regulatory College of TCM and Acupuncturists of BC.

Since 1984, an academic and a scholar, Dr. Souvestre has extensively written, published and presented on medical and neuroscience related trauma/injury topics on human performance deterioration and enhancement; he has regularly lectured and taught to post-graduate medical doctors and other health professionals at several European and North American universities. From 1984 to 1995, he was a flight surgeon (ORASM) for the French Air Force and a flight experimenter at the French National Flight Test Centre. Dr. Souvestre served as an advisor to a number of French military and civilian aerospace corporations and organizations, among them Dassault Aviation/Flight Test Division and the French Flight Test Pilots School. He has conducted over ten years in-flight work and experiments and instructed flight test crews in respect to Flight Performance and Safety and Occupational Traumatology.

In the late 1980, he was a candidate astronaut to the French Space Agency. He has also been a long time associate lecturer in several European universities for the national aerospace medical course for flight surgeons and heavily involved with the French Military Medical Expertise Centre for Aerospace Flying Personnel. He has been for the past three years a senior medical and neuroscientist consultant to the Institute for Aerospace Research, National Research Council, and the Department of National Defense of Canada.

From 1985 to 1995, Dr. Souvestre was a clinical research assistant at the Regional Sports Medicine Centre of the University of Aix- Marseille II and the Chief Medical Officer, in charge of the medical health and performance maximization for several French national sports teams including skydiving teams, aerobatics pilots, Olympic biathletes, tri-athletes and marathon athletes as well as soccer, rugby, rugby league team, equestrians and jockeys.

Through to 1990, he also was a regular senior lecturer at the internationally renowned French National Institute of Sports located near Paris. Since in Vancouver, he has successfully helped professional athletes including those from the NHL and CFL.

Since 1988, Dr. Souvestre's R&D work is peer - recognized and has been awarded in France and in Canada with several grants from both National Research Councils, as it led to several patents regarding posture, gait and movement controls assessment and therapeutic medical technologies. Since 1997, Dr. Souvestre is the founder and current President and Medical Director of NeuroKinetics Health Services (BC), Inc., a medical company based in Vancouver, B.C. Here athletes and post-trauma patients are provided with drugless biomedical and neurophysiological care and expertise using specific assessment and non-invasive treatment methodologies.

Since 1997, Dr. Souvestre is the founder and current President and Medical Director of NeuroKinetics Health Services (BC), Inc., a medical company based in Vancouver, B.C. Here athletes and post-trauma patients are provided with drugless biomedical and neurophysiological care and expertise using specific assessment and non-invasive treatment methodologies.

Philippe celebrated two years ago his 30th year of aviation as a pilot and a skydiver. He has flown over 2000 hours on various types of military and civilian aircrafts on land and at sea and particularly loves mountain flying and soaring, aerobatics, and flight display. He is passionate about outdoors and is an avid climber.
