2019 Vancouver Sun Run InTraining - Clinic Coordinator

SportMedBC will once again be hosting our 24th annual 10 km InTraining Program for walkers & runners across the province. Our goal is to provide members of the local community with a graduated walking and/or running program in which they will train safely & comfortably for the 2019 Vancouver Sun Run April 14, 2019. The Vancouver Sun Run InTraining program begins the week of January 12th – 18th 2019, with clinics meeting once per week, for 13 weeks.

We are seeking active, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individuals who have a passion for running/walking to assist with this year’s Vancouver Sun Run InTraining Program. Clinic Coordinators share an interest in fitness & health, and understand the challenges of starting a new exercise program. As a program coordinator and leader, you should already be partaking in regular physical activity, and possess the ability to motivate others to follow their InTraining program schedule.

The Clinic Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the InTraining Program at their host location, provide leadership to their team of volunteer leaders, and deliver all necessary information to their program participants.In appreciation for their time, Clinic Coordinators will receive a small honorarium, a leader garment, and a complimentary entry to the 2019 Vancouver Sun Run.

We are currently looking for Clinic Coordinators for the following locations:

a. Coal Harbour Community Centre (Sundays 10:15 AM or Thursdays 6:15 PM)

a. Bear Creek Park (Wednesdays 9:00 AM) *Walking Clinic Only*

a. Muscle Memory Training Centre (Sundays 8:30 AM)


Hours/time commitment

The 2019 Vancouver Sun Run InTraining Program starts the week of January 12 – 18, 2019 and runs for 13 weeks until April 12, 2019.

Clinics meet for approx. 2 hours, once per week, for 13 weeks.

The day/time of each clinic varies by location.
