Welcoming Our Newest Staff Members
July has been a busy month for SportMedBC, Jenny Soderman, our Coordinator for the SportMed InTraining programs has resigned her position to return to her other home of Sweden. Jenny will be deeply missed by all and we look forward to seeing where this stage of her life will take her. The entire SportMedBC team wishes Jenny all the best and we thank her for all her hard work, dedication and passion over the years. With that news, we are officially pleased to welcome Kristina Niketas onboard as the new Coordinator, SportMedBC InTraining Programs.
Kristina comes to SportMedBC from a Sport and Entertainment background, where her project management and leadership abilities, has allowed her to problem solve any challenges on the go. Kristina has partaken in various Provincial, National and International Sporting Events, where she was able to grow expertise in operation management, and logistics. Kristina believes, growth development is an essential value to enhance the vision and mission of an organization. Kristina is an avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast with a passion for exploring new places.
We welcome Kristina to the SportMedBC Organization and we look forward to seeing the direction our programs will go under her lead. In addition to Kristina joining the family, we are also pleased to welcome Janette Shearer onboard as our new Online Communications Manager.
Janette comes to SportMedBC with more than 5 years of experience as a content creator and thus understands what it takes to meet the needs of our audiences and how to use feedback to conduct marketing campaigns and communication strategies. She is very fluent in key social media platforms and her expertise and her passion in this specific field will be an asset for SportMedBC. Janette is an avid runner completing her first marathon in 2021 and has been a SportMedBC Running Clinic Coordinator since 2018.
With both Janette & Kristina being passionate about the growth and success of SportMedBC, we have no doubt that this organization is in extremely capable hands. Welcome aboard Janette and Kristina!

As of March 11, 2022:

- Individual businesses and event organizers can choose to continue requiring masks on their premises.
- Reminder to the sport community to be respectful of people's differing comfort levels and that as we transition into this period, people may still choose to wear their mask.
As of April 8, 2022, proof of vaccine will no longer be required.
- Individual businesses and event organizers can choose to continue requiring proof of vaccination for entry.
