Aboriginal RunWalk Program Update

Aboriginal RunWalk Program Update

In partnership with ISPARC, this fall SportMedBC hosted five leader training sessions across the province to 315 leaders equipping them to deliver the Aboriginal RunWalk or Honour Your Health Challenge programs. With ongoing support provided by SportMedBC, 122 Aboriginal RunWalk leaders will launch their programs in January 2018. Highlights from this year included learning more about addictions from a harm reduction approach, the importance of self-care and mental wellness, and hearing from experienced leaders who shared their inspiring stories filled with challenges and successes. Congratulations to all of those who participated and good luck with your programs!
