Volunteer with us for RBC GranFondo Whistler on September 7th, 2019. The GranFondo is North America's largest GranFondo and Canada's largest cycling event. It is a world class ride from Vancouver to Whistler along the Sea to Sky Highway. The course is 122km and leads to an exciting finish line and celebration plaza in Whistler. Volunteers are the backbone of our event. We need over 600 volunteers to make this event run, and we would love to have you on our team! On June 21, 2019, SportMedBC and ISPARC staff celebrated National Indigenous People’s Day with the Canim Lake Band. Thank you to the Canim Lake Band community, who welcomed us to their traditional territory, and to our ARW and FitNation leader, Tish Diamond, for inviting us. With plenty of festivities, including a 2km and 5km run, an Amazing Race competition, a bannock baking contest, a Lahal game, a Rethink Your Drink station supplied by ISPARC, drumming and dancing, the day was a huge success!
