National Indigenous People’s Day Events to be Held Across BC

Members of our HealthBeat and Aboriginal RunWalk Programs will be attending National Indigenous People's Day events in communities across BC on June 21, 2019.

Our Aboriginal RunWalk Team will be attending the Tears to Hope relay in Terrace, the inaugural event dedicated to honour and memorialize those who lost their lives to violence along the Highway of Tears. The relay run will consist of one runner at a time from different Indigenous communities in the area carrying messages of hope to Terrace and will culminate in a community feast.

HealthBeat and members of ISPARC”s Healthy living team will also be joining National Indigenous People’s Day in Canim Lake where there will be a medicine walk, a scavenger hunt and a community feast to celebrate our Indigenous communities and culture!

We hope you can join us!
