The 2018 Vancouver Sun Run was another overwhelming success with over 41,000 runners, walkers, and wheelchair division athletes completing the 10km race this past weekend.
2018 marked SportMedBC’s 23rd year working with the Vancouver Sun Run to deliver our 13-week InTraining program in communities across the province. This year’s program consisted of nearly 1,800 participants in 53 clinic locations stretching from the Lower Mainland to Squamish, the Sunshine Coast and BC Interior.
The InTraining and Aboriginal RunWalk programs wouldn’t be possible without the help of many clinic coordinators, run leaders, and volunteers, who selflessly dedicate their time. SportMedBC would also like to thank all our InTraining and Aboriginal RunWalk participants for their hard work and dedication to the program. Braving the elements and sticking with the training during the winter months is no easy task, but our participants persevered and were rewarded with perfect spring time conditions on race day!
To Our Runners & Walkers
You should all be very proud of your accomplishments, and for committing yourself to 13 weeks of RunWalk training. We hope that it has helped you achieve your RunWalk goals, and that it will help you continue on your health & wellness journey – wherever that may take you next.
See you in 2019!
