Kyle prides himself on getting his patients back to their regualr routine safely and effectively in a little time as is safe. As an athlete himself from a young age to present he has battled many injuries of his own and understands the mentality of an athlete that is rehabilitating an injury and the frustration that can occur. Kyle likes to use a combination of many different massage techniques combined with stretching and strengthening through therapeutic exercise.
In this province, athletic injuries and rehabilitation are synonymous with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Bob McCormack. He was selected by the Canadian Olympic Committee to be the Chief Medical Officer (C.M.O.) for Team Canada at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin, 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing and 2010 Olympic Games in Whistler, BC.
Nadine received her Physiotherapy degree from the University of British Columbia and has gone on to earn her Certificate of Sports Physiotherapy, her Certificate of Manipulative Therapy (RCAMT) and her Chan Gunn IMS certification.
She works internationally with Athletics Canada, and locally with the Vancouver Thunderbirds and UBC Track and Field Team. In addition to her wealth of experience with running athletes, Nadine is a former therapist with the Vancouver Whitecaps, and has worked with recreational and high-performance athletes from a myriad sports.
Derek Hansen has coached in Track and Field for over 20 years, specializing in sprinting and jumping events, and has worked with other sports in the field of strength and conditioning for the last 10 years.
He is currently working with the Speed Skating Canada in preparation for the 2010 Olympics as well as numerous Provincial Sports Organizations, major games teams, and local amateur sports clubs and athletes.
Graduated 2003 from Southern California University of Health Sciences, diversified technique. Certified Active Health and Fitness Kinesiology SFU.
Volunteer therapist for soccer and lacross teams over 6 years.
Currently teach Neuropathology and Neuroanatomy twice a week at Utopia Academy for Registered Massage Therapy.
I'm a sports enthusiast who loves to work with athletes of any age and ability. I graduated from Concordia in 1998 with my B.Sc. Exercise Science, specialty in Athletic Therapy. Then continued on and completed my Physical Therapy degree from UBC in 2004. I received my Sport Certificate in 2008 and have worked with Rugby, Lacrosse, Hockey, Basketball, Field Hockey and Softball. I'm an avid softball player and love to exercise outdoors!
Eddie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, and a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. Eddie is a fellow in the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMT). He has worked as a research assistant at the UBC Center for Sport Analysis and as an exercise physiologist at the JM Buchanan Exercise Science Lab at UBC. Eddie is a founding member of P2 Soccer, a group of physiotherapists working towards injury prevention and elite performance in soccer players.
Dr. Li obtained his doctoral degree from California. He did his podiatric surgical residency training in Vancouver and his fellowship training in sports medicine and podiatric surgery at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Palo Alto, CA.
