The Beijing Blog now focuses attention on the Paralympics which is about to get underway on September 6th. Team Canada consists of 150 athletes and 130 team officials (coaches, team leaders, mission staff and medical/paramedical practitioners), one of Canada’s largest Paralympic teams. Team Canada in its entirety will be competing for an estimated Top 5 placing among all competing countries and will be led by the Chef de Mission, Debbie Low (Richmond, ON) and Assistant Chef de Mission, Gaetan Tardif (Toronto, ON). The SportMedBC Network is again well represented with 6 practitioners working with the Canadian medical team. Deanna Schick and Paige Larson (a physio from North Vancouver) will be filing blogs for us, and we have our manager of SportMedBC Performance Misty Thomas in Beijing as well.
