On Saturday, October 15th, 2016, SportMedBC held its Annual General Meeting at Fortius Sport & Health in Burnaby. After the AGM, Olympic gold medalist Maëlle Ricker joined us for a Q & A!
SportMedBC staff presented their program reports for the 2015-16 year.
SportMedBC’s Board of Directors for 2016-17:
· Dr. David Cox (Chair)
· Anthony Findlay (Vice Chair)
· Dr. Joseph Stern (Treasurer)
As mentioned above, post-AGM, SportMedBC members and attendees participated in a Question and Answer with Olympic gold medalist Maëlle Ricker. Ricker won Olympic gold in snowboard cross at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She became the first Canadian woman to win Olympic gold on home soil. We spoke with Ricker about her magnificent career, her achievements, and the benefits of Best People, Best Practices and Best Programs.
"Thank you" to everyone associated with SportMedBC – the Board of Directors, the management team, and the outstanding community of medical and paramedical practitioners who make up our network! Also, a big "thank you" to the team at Fortius Sport & Health who helped us play host to this fantastic event!
